45 minute outdoor yoga session for children & their parent/guardian at Breeden’s Orchard in Mt. Juliet, TN

*Registration window closes 1 hour before class to accommodate travel to the orchard. Please be sure to register before class starts!

What to expect

Join me for a 45 minute class that combines mindful movement with fun, games, and opportunities to feel more connected to your child(ren). During our time together, you and your little one(s) will experience things like breathing exercises, games, yoga poses, and stories to spark their imagination, empower them to be in control of their body, and encourage learning through listening, play, and exploration.

Even if your child(ren) has never practiced before, they’ll love learning about poses named after animals, using their creative mind to play within the practice, and taking a moment to calm down and let it all soak in during a much-deserved rest at the end of class. Parts of class might include partner poses with you and your kiddo(s), taking our toes off the mat and onto the grass, or interactive games that allow the children to take the lead.

My goal is to help you and your child experience a deeper connection to each other, as well as yourself and your surroundings, through this playful yoga class. You might even feel inspired to start trying some of this at home too!

***The recommended age for kiddos is 4-8 years but outside that age range is welcome too! Just keep in mind, this is not a class designed for babies or toddlers.

What you need

-A mat, beach towel, or blanket you don’t mind putting on the grass (one for you, one for your kiddo!)

-A bottle of water or something to stay hydrated

-Clothing that is comfy and allows for movement

-An open mind and the willingness to explore yoga, mindfulness, and play together with your child(ren)!

Cost

The fee for this class is $20 per adult (kiddo included) and is paid upon registration.

When you arrive

Please plan to arrive 10 minutes before class begins.

This class takes place on the lawn at Breeden’s Orchard. The address is 631 Beckwith Rd, Mt. Juliet, TN 37122

Once you get to the top of the gravel driveway, you can park in front of the market.

Walk to the lawn on the left of the building. If you don’t see me sitting there (with a smile, of course!), continue around to the back. The size of the class and what’s going on during class time will determine which side of the building I decide to hold class that day!

There are bathrooms located on the outside of the market that we can use during our class time.

Inclement weather

Tennessee weather can be wild and unpredictable!

When the forecast is calling for rain, tornados, or any other weather that would make our outdoor session unenjoyable, I will be keeping a close eye on the forecast.

If I determine class needs to be canceled, all registrants will receive an email no less than 1 hour before the class start time to inform them of the cancellation and give a full refund.

Cancellation/refund policy

If you need to cancel before class begins, please do so at least 6 hours before class starts (or the night before a morning class!) so you can receive a refund and I can share your spot with someone else. If you do not cancel and do not show up, a refund will not be issued.

About yoga teacher Jess Frischolz

Jess has been practicing yoga since 2008, with a dedicated daily practice since 2015, and started teaching in 2021. She was inspired to deepen her practice through the kind and loving guidance she received from her teacher and mentor, Jennifer Ewert, after becoming a committed student at the studio. With her experience as a former classroom teacher, Jess’s decision to guide others in their own yoga journeys was a seamless transition. She received her 200hr YTT with Jennifer in 2021 from Akasha Yoga Center, with a focus on hatha and vinyasa styles, and influences of viniyoga as well. She has continued her studies through various courses, books, live workshops, and additional trainings, such as a 30hr children’s yoga training in 2024.

Jess teaches with a gentle, lighthearted approach, empowering you to tune into your body and honor what you need by offering variations to find ease or deepen into a posture. Her classes allow you to develop a higher sense of body, breath, and mind connection, whether flowing through vinyasas or finding nuanced movements in static poses. Her goal is to help you cultivate more self-awareness and become more deeply connected to yourself, others, and the world around you.
