Gentle flow yoga - 6-week series hosted by LFUMC

60 minute all-levels yoga session at First United Methodist Church in Lebanon, TN

Fridays 9:00-10:00am

January 9-February 13, 2026

What to expect

Join us for a 6-week series of yoga classes that build strength in both your mind and body, and leave you feeling calm, energized, and ready to tackle the rest of your day with a more intentional approach.

Pairing aspects of hatha and gentle vinyasa yoga, you’ll move through gently flowing asana sequences and explore static poses with nuanced movements that allow you to tap into your mental and physical strength. You’ll also experience moments of mindfulness to help you cultivate a deeper sense of awareness and connection, both to yourself and your surroundings.

As we move and settle into various postures, you’ll be presented with variations when appropriate, allowing you to decide what feels best in your body and whether you need to find more ease or a deeper challenge today.

My goal is to help you experience both a calmer mind and a more energized body as you take on the rest of the day.

What you need

-A mat
-A bottle of water or something to stay hydrated
-Blocks, if they're part of your practice (optional or borrow ours)
-A willingness to explore how yoga is a beautiful practice to help you gain strength in mind and body while simultaneously easing you into a more relaxed and mindful state of being

Cost

The fee for this 6-week series is $72 and is paid upon registration. (Yes, only $12 per class!)

*After instructor fees are covered, the remaining proceeds will support Wesley Fellowship’s campus ministry program at Cumberland University.

About yoga teacher Jess Frischolz

Jess has been practicing yoga since 2008, with a dedicated daily practice since 2015, and started teaching in 2021. She was inspired to deepen her practice through the kind and loving guidance she received from her teacher and mentor, Jennifer Ewert, after becoming a committed student at the studio. With her experience as a former classroom teacher, Jess’s decision to guide others in their own yoga journeys was a seamless transition. She received her 200hr YTT with Jennifer in 2021 from Akasha Yoga Center, with a focus on hatha and vinyasa styles, and influences of viniyoga as well. She has continued her studies through various courses, books, live workshops, and additional trainings, such as a 30hr children’s yoga training in 2024.

Jess teaches with a gentle, lighthearted approach, empowering you to tune into your body and honor what you need by offering variations to find ease or deepen into a posture. Her classes allow you to develop a higher sense of body, breath, and mind connection, whether flowing through vinyasas or finding nuanced movements in static poses. Her goal is to help you cultivate more self-awareness and become more deeply connected to yourself, others, and the world around you.
